Lisa + Bill – Engaged!

Lisa and Bill are engaged and I absolutely cannot wait to shoot their wedding this fall! These two are so very cute together and have even been dubbed the “lovebirds” by their closest friends…I can now see why. We had a great time wandering around the city earlier this month looking for fun places to shoot. We ended up at a few of Lisa + Bill’s favorite memorials namely the Constitution Gardens Pond, the Lincoln Memorial, the FDR Memorial and we finished up at the World War I Memorial. I had never been to the FDR Memorial or WWI Memorial, so I also got to do a little sight seeing during this session.

Lisa and Bill, thank you for spending your Sunday afternoon with me and congratulations on your engagement!

P.S. You will notice that this post contains a lot of kissing pictures. Lisa and Bill actually have a collection of photos of them kissing in front of various landmarks, so we had to add a few more to the collection;)

Matt, Christine, + Connor

I love this family! Matt and I have been good friends since high school and I was thrilled when he asked me to take a few head shots of him and also a few family pictures. Since we were both on the Eastern Shore we decided to take the pictures just outside of Saint Michaels, at a friend’s property near the beach. I had a great time chasing little Connor around and catching up with old friends. Here are a few of my favorites. Enjoy!

The Clayman, Cohen, + Gartlan Families

While I was in Maryland earlier this month, I stopped off to photograph the Clayman, Cohen, + Gartlan families. Mom and Dad Clayman will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary this summer and what better way to celebrate than with family pictures:) We started off with a few family shots and then a water gun fight broke out…which I welcomed with open arms as it was hot, hot, hot that day! Owner, Michelle Simpson, offers the latest trends in men’s and women’s clothing, footwear, and accessories at unbelievably affordable prices. In fact, the majority of the items in her store are priced well below $60. Michelle receives new shipments every week, so make sure to stop in frequently and if you see something you like, you may want to grab it while you are there, as Michelle never orders the same items twice! Sarah + Clint – June 12, 2010

Sarah + Clint are married! These two tied the knot last month in an intimate ceremony over looking the beautiful French Broad River. It was extremely hot that day but Sarah and Clint had a day full of surprises planned and each one seemed to make the heat a little more bearable. I don’t get emotional often when photographing an event but I was almost moved to tears when Clint presented Sarah with a new engagement ring during the ceremony. It was one of the sweetest moments I have ever witnessed between a bride and groom.

Congratulations Sarah and Clint and thank you for asking me to document such an amazing and important day in your lives!

This was the first surprise of the day. Sarah mentioned that she did not want Clint to show up to the wedding in a silly white suit. Clint just so happened to have a white suit on hand…his old drum major uniform. I may or may not have begged him to wear it to the ceremony. Don’t worry, he didn’t.
